Open a SSH connection (putty) and enter the following commands:

/#cd /usr/local/teamspeak // Your local TS folder
/usr/local/teamspeak#./ts3server_startscript.sh stop // Stop the Service
/usr/local/teamspeak#cd ..
/usr/local#tar -zcvf backupTS-DDMMYYYY.tar.gz teamspeak // Create a Backup of the current TS config
/usr/local#wget http://dl.4players.de/ts/releases/3.4.0/teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64-3.3.1.tar.bz2 // Download the newest TS-Server for Ubuntu –http://dl.4players.de/ts/releases/
/usr/local#tar -xzvf teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64-3.3.1.tar.bz2 // Unpack
/usr/local#cp -a teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64/. teamspeak/ // Copy the new Files
/usr/local/teamspeak# ./ts3server_startscript.sh start // Start the service
/usr/local/teamspeak# ./ts3server_startscript.sh restart
/usr/local#rm teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64-3.3.1.tar.bz2 // Delete unnecessary data
/usr/local#rm -r teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64

Check your LOGs in /usr/local/teamspeak/logs and if the fileĀ .ts3server_license_accepted exists inĀ /usr/local/teamspeak

Open your Client an check the version
